As we approach the final days of 2021, many families, friends and other community members continue to feel the effects of the uncertain economy and environment.

Whether it’s underemployment or unemployment, anxiety, stress or depression, or a need for food and housing assistance, at Atlantic and Cape Counties Jewish Family Service May (JFS), we continue to be here to help.

Each year we host the JFS Friends Campaign which provides our agency with the opportunity to provide assistance, programs and services to residents of our county.

With a goal of raising $35,000, we are currently at $16,045 and we need your strong support.

In the first nine months of 2021, JFS provided 7,194 families with essential nutritional support through the Food Pantry, 2,349 in-person and telehealth counseling sessions for adults, adolescents and children, and provided assistance to the housing for 450 formerly homeless people. . At JFS, we are committed to helping anyone who walks through our doors.

When considering donating, know that every dollar raised helps.

For example:

  • $36 will feed a family through our pantry
  • $50 will offset the cost of a counseling session for an anxious person
  • $100 will provide a month of kosher meals for an elderly person living at home
  • $250 will provide emergency shelter for a family who might otherwise be homeless

With the ever-increasing needs in our region, we rely on the generosity of community members.

JFS is counting on you, our dedicated friends, to help us achieve this important fundraising goal.

Please support by making a tax-deductible donation to the JFS Friends campaign.

Your contribution can be mailed to Jewish Family Service, 607 North Jerome Ave., Margate, NJ 08402 or online at
