The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore of the Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) continues to present unique and entertaining programs in September.
Note the dates and plan to participate in these nine interactive and creative activities.
DIY container gardening
Tuesday, September 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Adopt your green thumb and join an information session on creating and maintaining your own manageable fall container garden. Beautify your porch, patio, balcony or sunny
space inside with flowers and vegetables. Also learn how to plan and plant flower bulbs for a spectacular spring display. RSVP by September 1.
Nurse’s Roundtable: Smart Aging Choices for Home Life
Wednesday, September 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Join Nurse Lori Pasahow and Village Community Specialist Tina Serota for an in-depth discussion on smart choices for aging in place. You will hear about daily tasks
easier, common-sense ideas for reorganization and safety with beauty in mind, and finally how to positively prepare for whatever the future may hold. RSVP by September 5.
Positivity Project: Morning Refreshment
Thursday, September 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Start your day optimistically! Explore positivity with JFS Wellness Coordinator Mary Jean Arreola and Tina Serota. You will learn ways to improve your well-being – mind, body and soul. Topics
include self-care, mindfulness, gratitude, meditation, and resilience. RSVP by September 1.
The village film society
Tuesday, September 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Join Tina Serota for a discussion about the film, Dumplin, which explores the story of a teenage girl who insists on measuring herself and fitting in by entering a local competition run by her.

Wednesday, September 14 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Join your friends and neighbors for an afternoon of BINGO games and prizes with Tina Serota. BINGO cards will be given to those who register in advance. This event is free for
Holocaust survivors and village members. For non-members, the cost is $5. RSVP by September 8.
Friday, September 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Experience the thrill of capturing your life’s adventures, history, and ancestry during a memory workshop led by the award-winning author and Professor of Creative Writing and Drexel University.

Comfort Cooking: Light & Delicious

Join Bernadette Getzler as she takes you on a foodie journey using farm-fresh ingredients. You’ll learn how to cook your favorite early fall recipes in new and inventive ways by taking the

Positivity Project: Evening Retreat

Coffee Klatch: Hybrid
Thursday, September 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Your world in 90 minutes! Join a quick chat about politics, technology, world events, arts, religion, and more. Moderated by Tina Serota. Attend in person at the Katz JCC Conference Room, 501 North Jerome Avenue in Margate or from home via Zoom.
