The Indian “akshunn” family system: RSS leader Mohan Bhagawat

JAIPUR: RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat said today, despite the challenges, that the Indian family system is not only “akshunn” (uninterrupted) but that it is a “takat” ( power) of the Hindu Samaj.

On the second day of his nine-day visit to Rajasthan, Bhagawat was addressing the closing session of the “columnist” seminar titled “India’s Perspective on Women” in a closed-door meeting here.

Bhagwat was quoted by an RSS statement as having told the rally that “with the ‘takat of samaj’ (power of society) people will recognize their root and strengthen it to build society in the face of Westernization or any other attack (challenges) ”.

“We should consider all subjects and issues on the basis of ‘Hindu Jeevan Drishti’ (Hindu view of life). Being ‘ekatam’ (monist) of the Hindu way of life, man and woman are the manifestation of one entity. And that is why he emphasizes oneness instead of equality, ”Bhagwat said.

“The Indian tradition is that of accepting the good things of the eternal values of the world and rejecting the bad conventions,” he said. “The company will stand firm on the basis of these principles to give life purpose and direction to all of humanity,” added the head of RSS.

“We should alleviate the things that are not proven and it is necessary to consider ‘Hindu Dharma’ on scientific criteria,” he said.

Only Hindu Dharma has the ability to lead the universe with coordination, said Bhagwat, who entered the auditorium in the morning and heard each speaker, during their farewell session.

“Therefore, we have to move forward with eternal values and modern circumstances,” he said.

About 130 columnists from 13 states including Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand attended the two-day seminar .

The RSS chief also met Rajasthan governor Kalyan Singh in Raj Bhawan here.

The governor wished Bhagwat his birthday, according to a statement from Raj Bhawan here.

Bhagwat stayed with Singh for about 45 minutes.
