The Hidden Radfords family members we don’t see – the move-out kids, partners and grandkids

The Radford family is actually even BIGGER than it first appears.

Cramming into a former care home in Morecambe, Britain’s largest family is made up of 22 children.

And there’s no guarantee the babies will stop there as parents Sue and Noel have been known to change their minds after claiming they won’t have any more children.

They are the parents of Chris, 32, Sophie, 27, Chloe, 26, Jack, 24, Daniel, 22, Luke, 21, Millie, 20, Katie, 19, James, 18, Ellie, 16, Aimee, 15, Josh, 14, Max, 12, Tillie, 11, Oscar, 10, Casper, nine, Hallie, six, Phoebe, five, Archie, four, Bonnie, three, and Heidie, one.

The Radfords first appeared on our screens in 2012 in the Channel 4 documentary 15 Kids and Counting, then 20 Kids and Counting in 2018 to mark their 25th wedding anniversary.

Now they appear in 22 Kids and Counting on Channel 5 – but there are members of the famous clan we don’t see on screen.

As children get older, they begin to branch out and start families of their own.

This means the Radfords are growing even further with partners marrying into the family and grandchildren being born.

But some of them don’t actually appear on 22 Kids and Counting, which is back for another new episode tonight.

Eldest son Christopher, who has left home but lives nearby in Morecambe, has three children with his wife Nicole.

They are Maisie, four, Jacob, two, and baby Nicholas, who is the newest addition to the Radford clan set, born in September last year.

Making the announcement on Instagram, Grandma Sue said: “I’ve been wanting to share this news all day, welcome to the handsome boy family!”

Chris, who was born when his mother was 14, does not appear on the Channel 5 family show and now works as a glazier after working in their bakery.

Sue explained that Chris wants to step back from the limelight and rarely appears on their social media either.

There is also eldest daughter Sophie, who now lives with her husband Joe Broadley and their three children – Daisy, nine, Ayprill, seven and Leo, five.

When Sophie left the family home in August 2013, mum Sue admitted she got emotional as she walked past their empty bedroom.

“Sophie, Joe and little Daisy left the Radford house today and I can’t bear to walk past the bedroom without getting upset,” Sue wrote.

When Sophie announced her third pregnancy in August 2015, she said she would not follow in her parents’ footsteps and wanted to call it quits with Leo.

“He will definitely be our last – although I can’t say the same for mum and dad,” she told The Sun.

Describing her excitement to be a mother again, she said: “Mom always jokes that I’m not going to stop at three.

“She thinks I’ll get eight, but that’s definitely not going to happen.

“When we told her about baby number three she was thrilled, she’s always happy when a new baby arrives.”

Her daughter Millie, 20, gave birth to a baby girl named Ophelia in September 2020 – and has also moved on.

Millie revealed details of her traumatic labor as she was rushed to the theater due to childbirth complications, later describing how her cute little one came out “kickboxing” with her fists raised.

She has now left the family home, but things didn’t go exactly as planned as Papa Noel got a call almost immediately because Millie had forgotten to pick up some food.

One person not in the photo is Millie’s ex-boyfriend, who she says had originally sworn to be a part of Ophelia’s life, but they are ‘nothing for one’ anymore. ‘other now’.

Speaking in a Q&A video on the family’s YouTube channel in November 2020, Millie explained why her ex-boyfriend is currently not a part of her daughter’s life.

“I’m not saying who he is because he’s completely out of our lives,” she said. “He’s in a new relationship, we have nothing to do with each other.”

She continued: “We haven’t had anything to do for months – since pretty much the start of my pregnancy.

“He just wasn’t happy to step in and be a dad, so he was never named.”

Chloe, who is the third oldest child and second oldest daughter, also left home to be with her boyfriend.

In May last year, Chloe took to Instagram to announce that she was moving out of the family nest to move in with her partner.

She posted a photo of her and her boyfriend toasting their milestone together, saying, “A few drinks to celebrate LIVE together!!”

Chloe then tagged her partner and joked, “We might need something a little stronger than a pint.”

She also clarified that she will have three children “max” – and not yet for a few years.

Sue and Noel will be sad to see some of their children go, but it will help them spend.

They shell out £400 a week on their colossal food bill, consume 56 sausages, 16 pints of milk and four loaves of bread a day, as well as three tubes of toothpaste, 80 yoghurts a week and 24 rolls of toilet paper a week.

After spending £1million raising their children, with Sue pregnant for 16½ years of her life, they claim to be finished for good.

“No, we don’t have any more,” Sue told the Mirror last year. “Certainly not 100%.”

During a Q&A session for their fans with their two oldest daughters, the couple explained that youngest daughter Heidie will be their last baby.

When asked if they have any other children, Sue replied, “We both decided we don’t want any more children. This time we’re definitely done! Heidi is definitely the last! C ‘is all.”

Noel added: “There will be no more little Radfords, not of us anyway.”
