The groom expels all women in the family from the marriage because of the choice of the dress
A newly married couple were injured and “feeling bad” after they kicked female family members out of their wedding ceremony when a number showed up in white dresses.
Two weeks after her wedding, the disgruntled husband took to social media to share his story and seek advice from fellow Reddit users.
The 33-year-old said: “We talked about women in the family wanting to prank my wife by wearing white.”
He explained that family members, including his mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and grandmother, are all “teasing and joking,” and called the group ” unity”.
According to him, women have a habit of planning to “tease and roast every new woman who enters the family by marriage by setting up” tests “to see if they deserve to be part of the family.
“I announced that if any of them showed up in white, I would have them kicked out, including mom.”
After notifying his family, some of his relatives showed up “one by one” dressed in white dresses, including his own mother.
He added: “They were trying to get a reaction from my wife to see if she was one of those ‘bridezillas’.
“I took him off while the men in the family watched, dumbfounded.
“I felt absolutely awful because my marriage was being interrupted by scenes they were doing.”
He said his new wife was “hurt beyond measure” and “the women in the family were” pissed off. “
He explained, “My cousin later lambasted me on social media saying that I had excluded all women from marriage because my wife was so insecure that she couldn’t stand the presence of ‘another woman at her wedding. “
His mother “berated” him, saying it was a joke and insisting that the “unit” was planning to change after they appeared in white.
“This has been happening for years … women pretend there is nothing hurtful about what they are doing.”
Reddit users immediately took to the husband’s defense.
“Your family is toxic and I am so sad for your wife that she is doing it, but also so happy for her that she has a husband who will support her and support her,” one wrote.
Another intervened: “A prank is only a prank if everyone ends up laughing. Otherwise, it’s just intimidation.
Another said: “They don’t respect you or your wife and I would have done the same.”
To which another user suggested: “Your family sucks. Cherish your wife and eliminate these idiots.
