Thank you for supporting family planning funding

NH Executive Advisor Cinde Warmington voted in the best interest of Granite Staters in supporting family planning funding for reproductive health care providers and I want to express my appreciation for this action. She opposed the majority of the Executive Board, which decided to dismantle the family planning program by funding three reproductive health providers, including Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.
Planned Parenthood’s healthcare services are essential in providing services such as birth control, STI screening and treatment, and cancer screening for low-income and uninsured people. Thousands of patient care will be jeopardized by this decision, especially those most affected by the pandemic and low-income Granite Staters. As Councilor Warmington said, we need to stop playing politics with health care in our state. Governor Sununu’s lack of leadership on this decision angers me. Not only did he pass an abortion ban, but his silence was deafening in the discussion of reproductive health care. I am tired of hearing that Governor Sununu is a âpro-choiceâ governor, when every turn he has proven otherwise. Pro-choice governors do not ban abortion. Pro-choice governors do not turn away when reproductive health care is at stake. I am proud that my advisor is a champion in the fight for reproductive health care and rights. We deserve a governor who will do the same. Thanks, Councilor Warmington. Governor Sununu jeopardizes the care of all Granite Staters.
