The bride’s family will officially hand her over to the AmaZulu Royal Family on Saturday during the customary Umembeso ritual.

The two families will exchange gifts as part of the event.

King Misuzulu kaZwelithini will be accompanied to the Umembeso by warriors and members of the AmaZulu royal family.

It takes place before the usual wedding.

According to Zikalala, they would work with the royal household and the national government to ensure the coronation ceremony goes ahead as planned.

“As the provincial administration, we would also like to congratulate His Majesty King Misuzulu and pledge our support, stating that we will now work with the Royal Household to ensure the coronation event goes ahead as planned.”

We will be working with the national government and the Royal House to ensure this goes according to plan and as quickly as possible. »
