Jewish Family Service campaign helps friends in need | Downbeach
MARGATE – On this Rosh Hashanah, as the Jews in our community recite the Kiddush and Hamotzi (blessing of wine and bread, respectively), they will stop to reflect on the past year. Whether it’s getting together or adopting a suitable online dating, Jewish holidays allow people to thank those who have helped them, offer their forgiveness, and embrace the future.
With thousands of residents facing undue hardship caused by the pandemic, the summer vacation is a great time to do a good deed and give back, especially in times of great need.
From seniors in a situation of isolation to uncertain children about the school year, JFS supports more than 8,000 people each year. As a referral agency in the coastal community, JFS strives to provide food, supportive housing, counseling, mental health assistance, programs for the elderly and more. A contribution to the JFS Friends campaign ensures that we can continue to help residents of the community.
Help JFS reach their goal of $ 35,000. A tax-deductible donation allows JFS to continue to help individuals and families who turn to our agency for help.
When considering your donation, know that every dollar counts. For example,
$ 36 will feed a family with our pantry services
$ 50 will offset the cost of a counseling session for an anxious person
