How Jewish Family Service Supports Mental Wellness

At a time when mental health issues challenge many Utahans, Jewish Family Service addresses the need for professional care, especially for people who cannot afford to pay for services.

This non-profit organization is non-denominational and is open to all members of the community as a “one stop shop” as they meet life’s challenges by providing affordable mental health counseling to individuals and families.

They also offer programs and resources for seniors and their caregivers. These include multiple artistic activities that help seniors express their feelings and can help people with their memories.

And, they also have a pantry on site.

Throughout September, Jewish Family Service celebrates 150 years of caring in the community and is one of the only Wasatch Front agencies to offer services to those in need on a sliding scale, regardless of ability. to pay.

At Régence, they proactively support community organizations that provide solutions to physical and mental well-being challenges.

The core services and programs of Jewish Family Services align well with Regence’s goals to help members and Utahns in general improve their mental well-being.
