Simon and Lauren reportedly planned to have an intimate ceremony in London. Speaking about his decision to host his big day, he confided The sun: “I’m planning everything, otherwise I know what’s going to happen – there will be 600 people and it’s going to get out of control, like my 50th birthday party.”

He added: “But I don’t want to have one of those awful wedding planners and all the fights that happen, and who you invite and who you don’t invite. It all seems too complicated.”

BGT star David Walliams has remained mum on whether he received an invite. “It would be wonderful if I got invited. I mean, I hope so, but he could keep it very small. I think she’ll want a big wedding, so I don’t imagine it’s going to be a small thing, but obviously I want to be there and ruin her day,” he joked during a recent appearance on The One Show.
