8th Annual Jewish Family Service Card Holiday Returns August 25

The 8th Annual Jewish Family Service Card Party, honoring and commemorating the late community philanthropist and entertainer Bonnie Gurwicz, will be held Thursday, August 25 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Harbor Pines Golf Club.

Guests can expect a delicious lunch, auction items, door prizes and exciting games of Mahjong, Bridge and Canasta.

“The Card Party is one of our most popular fundraisers as it offers guests the opportunity to spend an enjoyable afternoon together while JFS is able to raise funds to support programs and services for Village members,” said Andrea Steinberg, CEO of JFS.


Card Party tickets are $75 per player, and Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore members get a 20% discount.

Participants are encouraged to arrange their own table with friends and family.

Everyone else will be randomly assigned to a table.

Players must bring their own cards and/or game set.

Proceeds benefit Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore, a membership program for adults 50 and older.

The program offers intergenerational events, transportation, grocery and delivery, kosher meals on wheels, and more.

In order to continue to follow safety recommendations, tables will be used for lunch and play with a change of transition.

Distancing and disinfectants will be taken into account.

Harbor Pines does not require masks and all guests are encouraged to adhere to guidelines that make them most comfortable.
